As boys we begin with flies. I don't remember where I heard this,but I remember that it meant that people start off with small things.Back in the day littleboys, and still sometimes today,they rip wings off of flies to torture or to see what will happen.As boys get older they move onto cats and dogs,lizards and the like. Eventually, they turn on eachother. They torture and kill other men- wether literally or figuratively depends on the man. The point is- we start off with little things, and as we grow so does our prey. The things we choose to hurt cannot be beneath us,but some formidable foe that is worth our time. Still, we can't torture and destroy without a little practice. We feel like we have to demonstrate our strength and if it was something petty that we hurt, that makes us look weaker. The stronger our foe, the better, stronger, more powerful we look.
Funny, though, the common trait in serial killers is that as little children they torture animals.

ReplyDeleteisn't a man killing a woman not showing weakness? and yet most if not all serial killers, kill the opposite sex...or atleast the sex that is the object of their desire. Most if not all serial killers have a sexual motive for their killings, not a need to show strength as much as control over their victims...
I've been there!! torturing animals was like a hobby to me!! but now that you mentioned it, what are the odds of me being a serial killer!!!It's quite scary!!!
